GLP-1 Booster Supplements by Brand: What Is Inside and What Was Tested
What Bioma, Lemme, Inno Shred, HUM Flatter Me Fiber, ColonBroom, Supergut, Pendulum and Nature Made put in their GLP-1 supplements, whether any product was tested in a published trial, and what the evidence shows for each ingredient.
Part of Weight-loss supplements and diet trends: what the trials show
None of the eight most-searched “GLP‑1” supplements contains GLP‑1, and none has a published human trial of the finished product showing weight loss or a rise in GLP‑1. Bioma, Lemme, Inno Shred, HUM, ColonBroom, Supergut, Pendulum and Nature Made sell fiber, probiotics, plant extracts, stimulants or vitamins under the name. The studies they lean on tested single ingredients, usually at other doses, often in a single meal, and the largest pooled weight effect for any of those ingredients is about two kilograms.
The eight products at a glance
For each product, the table gives what the label says is inside, whether the product itself has been tested in a peer-reviewed human trial, and the strongest result we could find for any ingredient it contains. “Product tested” means the finished formula, at the sold dose, in people.
| Brand and product | Key ingredients on the label | Product tested in a published trial? | Best evidence for a listed ingredient |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bioma GLP-1 Booster | Sukre (L-arabinose), triacetin, probiotic blend with B. lactis B420, Akkermansia, cayenne | No | L-arabinose in a sugar drink raised the GLP-1 response 53%, with no change in appetite or intake |
| Lemme Reset GLP-1 (sold out) | Moro red orange extract 400 mg, Eriomin lemon extract 200 mg, saffron extract 176.5 mg | No | Eriomin raised GLP-1 15% to 17%; weight did not change |
| Inno Shred GLP-1 | Berberine 500 mg, caffeine 250 mg, chromium 300 mcg, L-arabinose, theobromine, rauwolscine 2 mg, Akkermansia 5 mg | No | Berberine: −0.88 kg vs control across 23 trials |
| HUM Flatter Me Fiber GLP-1 Booster | 10 g prebiotic fiber, digestive enzymes, ginger, fennel | No | 10 g Fibersol-2 with one meal raised GLP-1 and PYY in 19 adults |
| ColonBroom GLP-1 Booster | Berberine, zinc, Polygonum cuspidatum extract, quercetin | No | Berberine: −0.88 kg vs control across 23 trials |
| Supergut GLP-1 Daily Support | 6 g fiber blend: soluble corn fiber, green banana starch, Solnul potato starch, oat beta-glucan | No (a different Supergut formula was tested for blood sugar) | Solnul shifted gut bacteria in 4 weeks; no GLP-1 or weight result |
| Pendulum GLP-1 Probiotic | Akkermansia, Clostridium butyricum, Bifidobacterium infantis | No (a safety study is listed as active) | GLP-1 claim rests on preclinical and cell-assay data |
| Nature Made GLP-1 Companion Health Pack (discontinued) | Multivitamin, magnesium, vitamin B12, calcium with vitamin D3 | No, and no GLP-1 claim made | Not designed to raise GLP-1; sold as nutrition for people on GLP-1 drugs |
Bioma GLP-1 Booster
Bioma’s two-capsule product combines a sugar-blocking prebiotic sold as Sukre (L-arabinose), triacetin, a probiotic blend built on Bifidobacterium lactis B420, Akkermansia muciniphila and cayenne. Its page says Sukre makes gut bacteria raise GLP‑1 “by up to 270%” and calls the probiotic blend “clinically proven for weight loss.” Neither claim is tied to a study of the Bioma product, and PubMed holds none.
The human L-arabinose data come from sugar drinks. When 4% L-arabinose was added to a sucrose beverage, the GLP‑1 response over the following hours rose 53%, and appetite ratings and food intake did not change.[1] The B420 strain was tested for six months in 225 adults with overweight or mild obesity; in everyone randomized, body fat did not differ from placebo. Only among people who took at least 80% of their doses did B420 combined with polydextrose fiber cut fat mass by 1.4 kg, while B420 alone did not reach significance.[2] Bioma’s blend lists no polydextrose. The best Akkermansia trial, using 30 billion pasteurized cells a day, missed its primary endpoint.[3] PubMed lists no human study tying triacetin to GLP‑1. The full Akkermansia record is on the supplement that missed its endpoint.
Lemme Reset GLP-1
Lemme’s capsule, marked sold out on its page in October 2026, holds three branded extracts: Morosil red orange (400 mg), Eriomin lemon flavonoids (200 mg) and Supresa saffron (176.5 mg). Lemme states plainly that the product “does not contain GLP-1” and “is not a weight loss supplement.”
Eriomin is the only ingredient here with a measured GLP‑1 result. In 103 adults with prediabetes, it raised GLP‑1 by 15%, and weight and diet did not change.[4] A crossover trial in 30 people taking 200 mg a day for 12 weeks found GLP‑1 up 17% and no change in weight or other body measurements.[5] Saffron, pooled across 25 randomized trials, produced no significant weight change (−0.32 kg).[6] Moro orange extract has the most favorable number on the label: three trials with 252 people pooled to −2.08 kg, a small evidence base its own reviewers said needs more research.[7]
Inno Shred GLP-1
Inno Shred GLP‑1 is a stimulant fat burner with a GLP‑1 name. A two-capsule serving delivers 250 mg of caffeine, which the brand equates to about two and a half cups of coffee, plus 100 mg theobromine and 2 mg of rauwolscine, an alpha-yohimbine. Alongside them sit 500 mg berberine, 300 mcg chromium picolinate, 200 mg L-arabinose, grains of paradise extract, B vitamins and 5 mg of Akkermansia.
Berberine carries most of the label’s GLP‑1 language. Across 23 trials it lowered body weight by 0.88 kg more than control, and the reviewers flagged missing blinding and randomization.[8] Its link to GLP‑1 was shown in rats and in a human gut-cell line, not in people.[9] Chromium, pooled over 21 trials and 1,316 participants, gave −0.75 kg, an effect the authors said has uncertain clinical relevance.[10] No trial has tested this stimulant combination.
HUM Flatter Me Fiber GLP-1 Booster
HUM’s powder pairs 10 g of prebiotic fiber with about a dozen digestive enzymes, ginger and fennel. It is the one product here that cites a specific human study for its GLP‑1 claim: Ye and colleagues, 2015.
That study gave 19 healthy adults the same meal with a tea containing 0, 5 or 10 g of Fibersol-2, a digestion-resistant maltodextrin. The 10 g dose raised plasma GLP‑1 and PYY and held off hunger for about 1.5 to 2 hours; 5 g did nothing measurable.[11] One author worked for the fiber’s maker. The trial ran one meal at a time and measured no weight. HUM’s page does not say whether its fiber is Fibersol-2. Its separate bloating figure comes from a 19-person study of a different HUM product, Flatter Me, in a journal PubMed does not list.
ColonBroom GLP-1 Booster
ColonBroom is best known for psyllium fiber drinks, but its GLP‑1 Booster capsule contains no psyllium. Its listed ingredients are berberine bark powder, zinc, Polygonum cuspidatum extract and quercetin. A second “GLP-1 Premium Booster” swaps in Eriomin, decaffeinated green tea catechins, green coffee bean extract, cinnamon and capsaicinoids.
The berberine evidence is the same −0.88 kg pooled result as above.[8] For anyone conflating the capsule with the fiber powder, psyllium itself did not lower body weight across 22 randomized trials (−0.28 kg, not significant).[12] Fiber’s better-supported job on a GLP‑1 drug is the bowel, covered in GLP-1 constipation: what works. ColonBroom’s GLP‑1 page also carries a customer quote headlined “Works just like Ozempic,” and its sign-up flow converts a $14 trial pack into a recurring three-month subscription unless it is canceled within 14 days.
Supergut GLP-1 Daily Support
Supergut’s scoop is a 6 g fiber blend of soluble corn fiber, green banana resistant starch, Solnul resistant potato starch and oat beta-glucan. The page calls Solnul “clinically studied” and footnotes a 2026 pilot study and an observational study run with Tiny Health, neither published in PubMed.
Solnul’s published trial gave 3.5 or 7 g a day for four weeks and found more Bifidobacterium and Akkermansia in stool and fewer irregular bowel movements; the abstract reports no GLP‑1 or weight measure.[13] Supergut staff co-authored a 2023 trial in 192 adults with type 2 diabetes that tested a fiber-enriched nutritional formula; HbA1c fell 0.64 points more than with placebo.[14] That was a blood-sugar result for a different formula, not a GLP‑1 or weight result for this powder. How fiber and food raise the body’s own GLP‑1 is covered in foods that boost GLP-1 naturally.
Pendulum GLP-1 Probiotic
Pendulum’s GLP‑1 Probiotic lists Akkermansia, Clostridium butyricum and Bifidobacterium infantis without amounts and says it is not intended for weight loss. Its science page footnotes the GLP‑1 claim as “based on preclinical studies,” cites internal data from a cell-based assay for C. butyricum, and bases its cravings figures on a six-week consumer survey of 274 buyers, with no control group described. The only human trial it lists is a safety and tolerance study still marked active.
Pendulum does have a published randomized trial, for a different product. A five-strain blend with inulin, sold as Glucose Control, lowered post-meal glucose (−36.1 mg/dL over three hours, p = 0.0500) and HbA1c (−0.6) in people with type 2 diabetes.[15] It is the strongest company-run result among these eight brands, and it is not the GLP‑1 product. Microbiome effects that run the other way, from the drugs to the gut, are in GLP-1 drugs and the gut microbiome.
Nature Made GLP-1 Companion Health Pack
Nature Made’s packet is the outlier: a multivitamin, magnesium, vitamin B12, and calcium with vitamin D3, sold to people already taking a GLP‑1 drug. It never claimed to raise GLP‑1, and the brand’s page now lists it as discontinued. Whether someone eating much less on semaglutide or tirzepatide needs a multivitamin is a nutrition question, covered in eating too little on a GLP-1.
Why a GLP-1 bump is not a GLP-1 drug
The best human results above are rises of 15% to 53% in the body’s own GLP‑1, after a single meal or after 12 weeks of daily use. That hormone is broken down by the enzyme DPP-4 and has a half-life of one to two minutes, which is why the drugs were built as long-acting molecules dosed daily or weekly.[16] A larger natural pulse after lunch is a different thing from a weekly drug, and that difference is why none of these ingredients has produced drug-sized weight loss.
What “GLP-1” on a supplement label is allowed to mean
It has no legal meaning. “GLP-1” in a supplement’s name is marketing. FDA does not review supplements or their claims before sale, and treats obesity as a disease: since 2000 it has held that obesity claims are not acceptable structure/function claims, while ordinary weight loss in people who are overweight is.[17] Its rule also counts as a disease claim any statement that a product “is a substitute for a product that is a therapy for a disease,” and requires every structure/function claim to carry FDA’s standard not-evaluated disclaimer.[18]
The FTC sets the bar for advertising. Health benefits generally need randomized, controlled human testing, and the agency’s guidance warns that trials of one extract may not support claims for another because formulations can differ in effect.[19] Every product here rests on that kind of borrowed evidence.
FDA has acted against GLP‑1-named products, though not against any brand named here. In December 2024 it called Veronvy’s “Science of GLP-1” drops unapproved new drugs after the seller claimed 52 pounds lost in trials and FDA approval.[20] In March 2026 it told the seller of “GLP-1 Pro Six In-One” liquid that disease claims made it a drug.[21] In August 2026 it found BioDrive’s Evolv GLP‑1 Biomimetic adulterated, because the company sold it with a new peptide ingredient after FDA had objected on safety grounds.[22] More letters are in the FDA warning letter tracker.
